Truly impressive to behold, the enthralling character of this offering comes not just from its highly detailed design, but from the superb execution of the engraver's vision as it was here struck. Each detail stands in bold relief, down to every minute intricacy on the rider's blanket, his helmet feathers, and the ornate shield on the reverse. The toning stands out as well, presenting itself in streaks of olive and steel tone on the reverse, with a similar but more uniform intermingling of hues on the reverse. A quality piece from an issue for which no examples grade finer at NGC.
