Greek, dated 1703 Tempera on wood. The lifeless body of Christ on the cross, surrounded by the apocalyptic personifications of the Evangelists on the trefoil finials, each holding the Gospels. Painted predominantly with terracotta and blue on gold. Greek inscription on the left border. Minimally restored. 169 x 128 cm.
