1836 50C Lettered Edge, O-114, R.2, MS62 PCGS. Frosted golden-gray toning covers both sides of this softly lustrous Uncirculated O-114 Lettered Edge half. Recutting on star 7's topmost points and a recut, "horn-top" 5 in the denomination confirm the die marriage. The strike is sharp and the surfaces are remarkably free of abrasions for the assigned grade. A touch of high-point blending at the eagle's brow and left shoulder is noted.
