Beautiful large photographic portrait with autograph dedication signed “A. Einstein”, dated 1929, to Luigi Ansbacher (1878-1956). Luigi was son of Bernardo Ansbacher (1833-1914), German Jew, who was a close friends of the Einstein family. At the end of 1895 until 1905 Einstein family spent some periods between Pavia and Milan which he recalled as “the most beautiful memories” of his youth. In the same year of this dedication, Max Planck presented Einstein with the Max Planck medal of the German Physical Society in Berlin for his extraordinary achievements in theoretical physics.
