Attributed to Christopher Dresser (1834-1904): a matched pair of Minton late 19th Century Aesthetic vases, shape no: 1717, with gilt borders and foot rims with stylised key pattern decoration, the sides with twin integral gilt ring handles, the front and back decorated in the cloisonne style on bleu celeste ground with panels of geometric patterns punctuated with cross and floral motifs, the side panels with red key motifs on brown, cream and blue ground all within green framing, both with cerise factory and impressed Minton marks, year code for 1873, shape no. 1717, one with U, potters marks, one with gilt number 8, both with worn inventory number labels, both 27cm high (2) Further details: wear to decoration on both gilt borders and foot rims
