1964 Amphicar DWM cabriolet No reserve Titre de circulation allemand Châssis n° 106524188 - Rare modèle amphibie de tourisme - Belle présentation, plaisir garanti - Travaux effectués par un spécialiste allemand - Sans réserve " Amphicar - La voiture de sport qui vogue ! " clamait une publicité au début des années 60… Cette automobile ludique aux allures batraciennes, fabriquée en Allemagne, fait partie des rares véhicules amphibie de tourisme. Elle était animée par un moteur Triumph 1 147 cm3 lui permettant d'atteindre 125 km/h sur route et 8 noeuds sur l'eau. L'exemplaire que nous présentons, totalement fonctionnel, appartenait en 1976/1977 à une agence de publicité, qui l'utilisait comme véhicule de promotion. En 1982, elle fut complètement restaurée et vendue à un amateur habitant la ville de Hofheim, en Allemagne. Deux ans plus tard, elle était achetée par un distributeur BMW de Lampertheim, et la restauration fut en partie reprise par Bernhard Schatt qui est considéré en Allemagne comme le "pape" des Amphicar. La voiture demeura en exposition, avant d'être vendue au moniteur d'auto-école M. Gärtner, à Ludwigshafen. Depuis 1992, elle est entre les mains de son actuel propriétaire, qui entreprît une révision technique complète lors de son achat. Depuis lors, la voiture a fait l'objet d'un entretien attentif, tant au niveau carrosserie que mécanique. Aujourd'hui, cet Amphicar se présente prêt à prendre la route ou à partir naviguer sur un fleuve calme ou un lac, pour le plus grand plaisir de ses occupants et l'étonnement des spectateurs ! It was powered by a 1,147cc Triumph engine that allowed the vehicle to reach 125 km/h on the road and 8 knots in the water. The example on offer, in complete working order, belonged to an advertising agency between 1976 and 1977, who used it as a promotional vehicle. In 1982 it was completely restored and sold to an enthusiast living in Hofheim, in Germany. Two years later, it was bought by a BMW dealer from Lampertheim, and the restoration project was taken over by Bernhard Schatt, considered to be the " guru " of amphibian cars in Germany. The car was then put on display before being sold to a driving instructor Mr Gärtner, from Ludwigshafen. It has been in the hands of its current owner since 1992, who carried out a thorough service of the car when he bought it. Since then, it has been carefully maintained, both cosmetically and mechanically.
