A copper alloy altar of Durga. Central India. Maharashtra. 18th century
In three parts. Standing with one leg on the buffalo demon and grabbing it by its hair, the right hand and the six subsidiary hands holding attributes, fitted into a square and stepped base, inserted behind the figure a prabhatorana with the hood of five-headed naga. Along with a folk bronze of Bhairava with kapala. (2)

3-tlg. Durga steht mit einem Bein auf dem Büffeldämon und packt dessen Kopf beim Haarschopf, in der rechten Hand und in den sechs Nebenhänden Attribute. Einzuschieben in einen viereckigen, profilierten Sockel, hinter der Figur eingesteckt, ein Zierbogen mit Haube einer fünfköpfigen naga. Dazu: Volkstümliche Bronzefigur des Bhairava mit Schädelschale.
