A Meissen porcelain group of a couple on a settee
The lady dressed in a crinoline playing the lute, the gentleman a flute. Seated on a purple couch with a pug dog between them. Blue crossed swords mark, incised model no. W 56., pressnummer 60, red R with dash below. A part of the skirt, his flute and the rapier hilt restored. H 15, W 24 cm.
Modelled by Johann Joachim Kaendler, 1737, produced in the 19th C.

Porzellan, farbiger Aufglasurdekor, Vergoldung. Die Dame in Krinoline, Laute spielend, der Herr flötend, auf einem purpurbezogenem Canapé. Zwischen ihnen ein Mops. Blaumarke Schwerter, geritzte Modellnummer W 56., Pressnummer 60, rotes R mit Unterstrich. Ein Teil ihres Rocks, seine Flöte und der Griff seines Degens restauriert. H 15, B 24 cm.
