USA (Philadelphia mint), copper Flowing Hair 1 cent, 1794, head of 1794, S-57, B-55, R.1, NGC AU details / environmental damage. S-57; B-55. High grade example of this Sheldon variety with light surface corrosion on the obverse, two small marks on the cap, particularly sharp design elements and legends on the reverse, middle die state with two linear die depressions in the field in front of Liberty's face and one to the left of the date plus another around the rim by CA in AMERICA as made, also desirable as only the second year of large cent production from the newly established United States Mint.
