USSR COLLECTION OF THE ORDERS OF THE EARLY SOVIET REPUBLICS Transcaucasian SFSR The Transcaucasian SFSR was a short-lived (1922-1936) Soviet republic. Together with Russia, Ukraine and Byelorussia, it helped form the USSR in December 29, 1922. In 1936, each of its Republics – Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan became independent from the federation and became part of the Soviet Union as separate republics. The Federation’s capital was Tbilisi, and the official languages were Georgian, Azeri, Armenian and Russian. Both civilan and military in purpose, the Order of the Red Banner of Labour of the Transcaucasian SFSR is one of the rarest pieces in this collection. Order of the Red Banner of Labor of Khorezm.
