A CELADON JADE DISC WITH COILED DRAGONS, WESTERN HAN DYNASTY
China, Western Han dynasty, c. 2nd -1 st century BC
A very fine celadon jade disc with high relief decoration of two coiled dragons. The reverse is decorated with a pattern of comma spirals in high relief. The fine celadon stone with russet and sparse cloudy inclusions. The carving is neatly executed, and the surface is well polished.
Condition:
Very good condition with natural weathering, alterations as well as calcification to the edges, and some minuscule chips.
