Lot 521988 Austin Metro 1.3 LReg. no. E194 BHRChassis no. SAXXFMND98D659122Engine no. TBCTransmission: AutomaticMileage: 54,132 milesMOT: Expired Estimate: £500 – 1,000 (No Reserve) R.E.A.L are honoured to offer the Sidnell collection barn finds in our upcoming auction. A variety of motor vehicles from the late Peter Sidnell who rented the same Wiltshire barn for over 30 years and was an avid fettler and classic car enthusiast. The majority of the cars were acquired before the early 80’s through friends and family where Peter had previously helped maintain their vehicles. The Metro was first registered in May 1988 and sold by Lesters of Trowbridge, it shows just 54,132 miles on the clock, although this is difficult to confirm due to a lack of history and it not having been on the road since the system went digital in 2006. Having looked over all six cars, body wise, this looks to be the best of the bunch. Aside from storage paint blemishes, it has some damage to the front wings, but the sweet three door shell appears to be quite straight with its factory trim and hub caps still intact. The underside and subframes look to be in very good order which could suggest the mileage is genuine. With a spruce up, the interior could be equally impressive. This car also features a sunroof. It is offered with a current V5C and a key.To be auctioned along with a fantastic selection of other vehicles on July 1st at our Showell Farm site, SN15 2NU with viewing on the 29th and 30th of June, you can also join us at our Nostalgia Social cars & coffee event on June 25th. For classic cars over 30 years this equates to 5% Duty on the final value. For cars described as MOT exempt (pre-1983) these vehicles may need their exemption registered with the DVLA.
