A pair of 19th century French Empire style bronze and ormolu four light candelabra, each modelled with a classical athlete holding aloft the scrolling branches in one hand with a floral wreath in the other, raised upon domed and squared plinths, 25cm wide, 68cm high Both in good condition, bronze of rich chocolate brown even patination, a little light verdigris to the foot of the female, branches equally in good order, sconces have been drilled to take electricity at some point, bases with a little light oxidisation.
