German Description: Seiden Teheran antik 'Lebensbaum-Teppich' (Tree of Life), Zentralpersien, Ende 19.Jhd., reine Naturseide. Ein paradiesischer Lebensbaum, welcher Früchte wie Granatäpfel, Trauben und Birnen trägt, belegt den blau changierenden Fond. Auf den schwungvollen Ästen dieses Baumes sieht man Vögel im Vogelnest, Tauben, Glücksvögel, Luchse, Löwen und Affen. Der Bordürenrahmen begleitet von hellblauen Nebenborten, spiegelt ebenfalls Tier-Motive wieder. Selten wurden Teheran Teppiche in reiner Seide geknüpft. Feine Qualität, erstklassiger Zustand, Einzelstück, wohl eine Auftragsarbeit, ca. 208 x 142 cm, EHZ: 2 (fachkundig gereinigt).
