In the early 1920s, prosperity and economic dynamism in the United States brought new perspectives to Georges Mauboussin. In 1924, Mauboussin won a grand prize at the French Exhibition in New York. On the strength of this award, he decided to open his first American boutique on Park Avenue.
In 1936, Mauboussin merged with Trabert & Hoeffer, a highly reputed American jeweler and jeweler appreciated by the stars of the silver screen. The alliance quickly became a success, building on the jewelry fashions of the time. The trend towards transformation jewelry helped fuel the creative force of Trabert & Hoeffer Mauboussin, which had a reputation for innovative designs.
