ANTIQUE JAPANESE MEIJI ERA CLOISONNE ENAMEL VASES


A pair of symmetrical antique Japanese Meiji period enamel over brass vases. Each vase has an amphora shaped body and a narrow neck. Each vase is enameled with a polychrome image of blossoming flowers on jade green ground made in the Cloisonne technique. The necks and the bases of the wares are decorated with a foliage ornament made in the same technique.Unmarked. Circa: late 19th century to early 20th century.
