Footnotes: Raja Wazir Singh (1828-1874) succeeded to the throne of Faridkot in 1849, and during his reign introduced reforms in the land revenue system. During the 1857 Rebellion he co-operated with the British and was rewarded with the title of Brar Bans Raja Sahib Bahadur and a salute of eleven guns.
