Byzantine Reliquary Cross Plate

9th-10th century AD. A bronze encolpion, or reliquary cross, engraved with punched dot border with central cross; hinges to top and bottom. 25 grams, 65mm (2 1/2"). From a private collection; formed 1965-1975.
