Colonials
1794 CENT Talbot, Allum, & Lee Cent, NEW YORK, Lettered Edge, MS64 Brown PCGS. Large Ampersand, Fuld-2, W-8570, Rulau-E-NY-878A, R.1. The center of the ship and the lower drapery on the standing figure is not fully struck, but an otherwise sharp example of this important Early American trade token. Peripheral chocolate color cedes to deeper mahogany patina in the centers. A whisper of verdigris does not distract. Listed on page 56 of the 2004 Guide Book. PCGS Population: 7 in 64, 4 finer (3/26).
Ex: Pittsburgh Signature (Heritage, 8/2004), lot 5035. From The Alamo Collection of U.S. Colonial Issues. www.HA.com/TexasAuctioneerLicenseNotice
