A figure of a 'Fat Lady'. Tang dynasty (618-907)
The court lady in a long robe and with an extravagant hairstyle looks slightly to the left, her hands are folded in the sleeves in front of her chest. The red earthenware is covered with a white slip, remnants of red and black pigment in the face and hair.

Die Hofdame in langer Robe und mit einer extravaganten Frisur blickt leicht nach links, ihre Hände sind in den Ärmeln vor der Brust verschränkt. Die rote Irdenware ist mit einer weißen Engobe überzogen, im Gesicht und in den Haaren Reste von rotem und schwarzem Pigment.
