A LARGE AFRICAN CARVED WOOD TRIBAL CHAIR PROBABLY FROM THE MAKONDE TRIBE OF TANZANIA AND MOZAMBIQUE EARLY 20TH CENTURY The curved back topped with a carved figure and metal panels overlaid onto the seat. 140cm high, 50cm diameter Condition Report: Presented into good show room condition. Ready for placing into a domestic interior. Wear to edges and frame as per age and regular use. Finial probably repositioned. Strengthened sympathetic reattachment of some legs. Signs of repegging repair and possibly some replaced bracing/fixing between tops of legs. Feet with wear to edges and some loss.
