1882 5C Liberty Nickel, Judd-1691, Pollock-1893, High R.6, PR65 Brown NGC. The design is at first glance a transitional pattern for the 1883 No Cents Liberty nickel, but the stars are in different places relative to the portrait. Struck in copper with a plain edge. The fields are deeply mirrored, and we see no reportable contact or carbon on either side. The deep blue-brown patina is accented by cherry-red color around the devices.
