A fine officers small sword

dating: 1805 - 1814 provenance: Kingdom fo Italy (Napoleonic), Blade of triangular section, the first part engraved and gilded on a blue background (missing parts), with motto 'VIVA NAPOLEONE', French imperial eagle, trophy and floral motifs. Gilt brass hilt with eagle without crown, one quillon with curl shaped as a flower, the other with lion's head like the pommel and the edge of the loop-guard shaped as a shell. Grips made of mother-of-pearl. Leather scabbard with brass mounts. Rare. length 91 cm.
