Concorde Elevon Unit Activator   On this day in 1969, Concorde took to the skies for its first flight. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first test flight, British Airliner Collection Concorde 101 here at IWM Duxford will demonstrate the lowering of its distinctive nose this afternoon at 2.40pm. Concorde 101 has recently been restored and museum visitors can walk though Concorde and experience the interior as it would have appeared during flight trials.
