A George III 18th century silver teapot and accompanying tea caddy,
both with mark of Robert Hennel I, London 1781, of rectangular corrugated form and decorated with bright cut engraving, the teapot with part marked piano hinged flush fitting cover topped with a brown finial, brown handle, the caddy with similar cover, topped with a pineapple finial and with lock, 27.9ozt gross (2) Teapot - Overall in good condition with no obvious signs of damage. Some minor surface scratches, dents and dings as to be expected. Stands firm on a flat surface with no wobble. Some scuffing and staining to the underside together with evidence of a pinhole repair. Handle a little loose in the socket, but intact with both pins in place. Cover hinge a little strained and the cover does not sit completely flush with the body. Caddy - Overall in good condition with no obvious signs of damage. Some minor surface scratches, dents and dings as to be expected. Stands on a flat surface with a minor wobble. Some scuffing and staining to the underside together with some minor dents. Cover does not sit completely flush with the body. Key lacking. Finial a little out of true.
