Satirical illustrations on the society by the elder brother of the animal painter Edwin Landseers after own ideas in form of anthropomorphic monkey figures, among them short quotations of famous poets and poems. - With the ex libris of the two collectors L.H. Dorrenboom and Bob Luza. 4 parts with printseller-label of the engraver, painter, publisher and printer W.J. White. - Partly uncut. Plates in white margin are foxing, illustrations are not affected. - Very nice, clean prints. - Very rare in the original publisher's covers.
