An antique continental Guilloche enameled 935 Sterling Silver clam shell box. In octagonal shape with hinged lid, decorated throughout with hand-laid panels of Guilloche enamel in Chocolate Brown color. Set to the middle with hand-carved relief depiction of a nude man riding a goat. Further decorated with gold gilt wire embellishments under the glaze. Situated atop eight acorn feet carved from natural materials. Hallmarked and stamped "935", probably Hanau, Germany. Measures approx. 3-3/8" in diameter, sits approx. 2-1/4"H.
