Perry released the limited edition Gay Black Cats MC to mark the opening of his 2017 solo exhibition at the Serpentine Gallery. This handmade appliqué flag draws inspiration from Asafo flags, which historically served as visual symbols for military companies among the Fante people in present-day Ghana, from the 18th century onwards. As an avid motorcycling enthusiast, Perry created this flag for a fictional motorcycle gang, blending cultural references with his personal passions.
