Cast by C.F. Woerffel after a model by Vasiliy Grachev (1831-1905).
Both on naturalistic round bases, realistically cast as a male and a female sentry holding pistols.
Each figure signed on base in Cyrillic “LEP. GRACHEV” with a foundry mark “FABR. C.F. WOERFFEL ST. PETERSBURG”
and a Finance Ministry stamp, dated 1877.
