1923 Rochet-Schneider Type 15000 torpédo No reserve Carte grise française Châssis n° 15399 - Fabrication soignée - Voiture bien équipée - Belle patine de sellerie - Sans réserve Achetée en 1989 auprès d'un ami collectionneur de la région parisienne par le mari de l'actuelle propriétaire, cette voiture aurait été modifiée en camionnette au lendemain de la seconde Guerre Mondiale. La carte grise porte d'ailleurs toujours la mention "Fourgon", catégorie camionnette. Par chance la partie arrière, qui avait été déposée, a été conservée et a pu être remontée sur la voiture lors de sa restauration, dans les années 1980. Elle offre aujourd'hui l'aspect d'une belle restauration ancienne, avec une sellerie en cuir noir offrant une agréable patine, une capote en bon état, complétée d'un couvre tonneau. Le tableau de bord est assez complet pour l'époque : tachymètre, montre, pression d'huile et ampèremètre, un thermomètre d'eau étant monté sur le bouchon de radiateur. De plus, cette Rochet-Schneider dispose de nombreux accessoires intéressants, tels qu'un phare de recherche latéral Marchal avec rétroviseur intégré, ou une paire d'amortisseurs Houdaille qui équipent le train avant. De belle allure, ce torpédo témoigne de la qualité de construction de cette marque lyonnaise disparue. L'équipement électrique, ainsi que la souplesse de la mécanique d'une cylindrée de plus de 2,6 litres en font une voiture encore très agréable à utiliser de nos jours. The registration document still bears the words "Fourgon" in the van category. Luckily the rear portion, which had been taken off, has been preserved and was put back on the car during its restoration in the 1980s. Today it offers the look of a nice older restoration, the black leather presenting a pleasant patina, the hood in good condition and complete with a tonneau cover. The dashboard is fairly complete for its time: tachometer, clock, oil pressure and ammeter. The water thermometer is mounted on the radiator cap. In addition, this Rochet-Schneider has many interesting accessories, such as a Marchal search lamp on the side with integrated mirror, or a pair of Houdaille dampers equipping the front axle. Good-looking, this roadster is a testament to the quality of construction of this disappeared eminent marquee from Lyon. The electrical equipment, as well as the flexibility of the mechanicals with a capacity of more than 2.6-liters, makes this a car still very pleasant to use today.
