RUSSIA
Neoclassical-style 92 zolotniks (958‰) gold ring, centered with an old-cut diamond in a closed setting in a rectangular bezel with cut sides adorned with small diamonds at the corners and bordered with vegetal and geometric friezes partially enameled in 3-tone blue, the ring chased with a laurel-leaf garland bordered by two celestial-blue enameled fillets, flanked by crosses in slight relief punctuated with rose-cut diamonds. Wear and small enamel chips.
Saint Petersburg, circa 1830-1840.
Goldsmith: ES probably for Erik Wilchelm SELSTRÖM (b. 1796 in Finland, active 1831-1848).
