A Victorian silver carriage lamp, over-stamped with maker's mark of Frederic Purnell, London 1882, rectangular form, the hinged front cover engraved with a crowned 'D', the top with another hinged cover, initialled, the reverse with a ring attachment and spike supports, the base with hinged supports for table use, height closed 14.8cm.
