CONTACT (1997) - Dr. Ellie Arroway's (Jodie Foster) Toy Compass with Prototype Compass and Chain Dr. Ellie Arroway's (Jodie Foster) toy compass with a prototype compass and chain from Robert Zemeckis' sci-fi film Contact. Palmer Joss (Matthew McConaughey) found a toy compass in his Cracker Jacks popcorn snacks and Arroway wore it around her neck throughout the film, including on her fateful mission. This lot consists of a multicolour plastic compass with a thick brass-colour metal ring adhered to the top and "Made in China" engraved on the reverse; a matching prototype compass with a thin silver-colour ring; and a prototype brass-colour cable chain. Also included in the lot is a blue pin badge featuring the IMC logo. One of the compass needles has fallen off its bearing.
