A cavalry helmet model dating: 20th Century provenance: Italy, A magnificent model in reduced scale of Cavalry officer's helmet from the Umberto period. Silver skull and cross, gilded comb and chin-strap, turban in sea lion's fur, monogram of king Umberto I on the olive, Morocco leather inside with red, silk caps. Produced by a chief gunsmith of Cuirassiers regiment Eugenio Capriolo of which remains the trace of the oval stamp inside the skull. These magnificent models were donated to the officers on special occasions and promotions. height 11 cm.
