"Galloping Cossack"
Cast by C.F. Woerffel after a model by Vasily Grachev (1831-1905), dated 1881.
On a naturalistic oval base, realistically cast as a cossack wielding a pistol on a galloping horse.
Signed on base in Cyrillic “LEP. GRACHEV”, also with foundry mark “FABR. C.F. WOERFFEL”, with a Finance Ministry stamp dated 1881.
