A pair of Chinese Shiwan ware jardinières, Republic period (1912-1949), each in the shape of an elephant, standing on an oval platform and covered with a saddlecloth enamelled with a carp turning into a dragon, carrying a hexagonal planter with a flared rim, decorated with butterflies, pomegranates, gourds, flowers and inscriptions, all under turquoise, green or blue glaze, overall 75.5cm high (4) 民国 石湾窑太平有象花盆及底座 一对 Condition Report All with chips and cracks in various locations.
