The 1914-D quarter eagle is a fairly plentiful issue in lower Mint State grades, but its availability drops off dramatically at the Gem grade level, as such pieces are seldom seen. This satiny near-Gem exhibits remarkably clean fields for the grade, while the design definition is razor-sharp throughout (an elusive characteristic on this issue). Hints of coppery-orange accent mainly yellow-gold luster, adding to this coin's strong level of visual appeal.
