Guglielmo Giusti, Italian 1824-1916- View of the Amalfi Coast; oil on canvas, signed 'G. Giusti' (lower right), 29.5 x 43.2 cm. Provenance: Anon. sale, Dorotheum, Vienna, 19 February 2019, lot 3. Note: Giusti was a pupil of Teodoro Duclère (1812-1867) and is considered to have belonged to the Neapolitan School of Posillipo that was associated with the Dutch painter Anton van Pitloo (1790-1837). He painted many views of Naples and its environs, as well as Capri, and exhibited in Naples from 1859-1885.
