A black wood netsuke of a bamboo internodium and a frog. Possibly Iwami. 19th century
A frog hides inside a piece of bamboo cut diagonally on one side, the cord channel running trough the inside and exist through the nodal diaphragram.

Frosch in einem Bambusrohrsegment. Schwarzes Holz. 19. Jh.
Im Inneren eines an einer Seite abgeschrägten Bambusinternodiums hat sich ein Frosch versteckt. Möglicherweise Iwami-Arbeit.
