PVBLICANVM ET QVIA MISERANDO ATQVE ELIGENDO VIDIT, AIT ILLI SEQVERE ME• Matthew seated left, writing on scroll, scales at feet, in portico with tree; to left, Christ standing right, holding right hand extended, left held to Sacred Heart. AV 59.98 g (.917 fine), AG 40.04 g, AE 38.95 g. In original box and case of issue, certificate no. 285/900. With a very interesting and rather embarassing spelling error. Virtually as struck.

The rather embarrassing spelling error of 'LESVS' instead of 'IESVS' was quickly noticed and the sale of the set suspended, resulting in only few sets making it into collector's hands.
