Late 19th-century Russian bronze figurine, cast by Woerffel, after the model by Vassili Yacovlevitch Grachev (Russian, 1831 - 1905). Realistically cast as a cossack embracing his sweetheart, as they stand beside his horse, signed on the base in Cyrillic 'Mod.[elled] [by] Grachev', also with foundry mark 'Fabr. C.F. Woerffel / St Petersbourg'.
