A Russian Imperial Porcelain Plate of the Grand Duke Alexander Nicholaevich Service, Imperial Porcelain Manufactory, ca. 1889


From the porcelain banquet service created for the Farm Palace in Peterhof, near St. Petersburg. The dinner plate created during the reign of Alexander III. Center of the plate decorated with crowned Imperial cypher of Grand Duke Alexander Nikolaevich, lavender borders with gilded floral designs. Green overglaze insignia mark of Alexander III on the bottom. Overall measures approx. 10" in diameter.
