AN 1822 PATTERN SCOTS GUARDS OFFICER'S LEVEE SWORD OF BOER WAR AND ROYAL INTEREST, 82.25cm slender blade by Wilkinson, serial no. 37659 for 1900, etched with maker's panel, scrolling foliage, regimental motifs, battle honours and owner's initials TC, for T.W.E Coke MVO, regulation plated Gothic hilt incorporating the regimental badge, wire bound fishskin grip, contained in its steel scabbard, complete with Wilkinson Register entry. T.W.E. Coke served as Equerry to King George VI and escorted the Coronation procession in 1937.
