Seated Dimes 1877-CC 10C Type Two Reverse, F-105, R.3, MS66

Seated Dimes
1877-CC 10C Type Two Reverse, F-105, R.3, MS66 PCGS. This is an intriguing variety due to the advanced obverse die state. Gerry Fortin notes, "The obverse is a highly polished rusted die that has been placed back into usage by the Carson City mint. It is approaching its end of life and has shattered." This Premium Gem is conditionally scarce among 1877-CC dimes. Each side is vibrantly lustrous and brilliant, showing a strong strike despite the die erosion. Population: 50 in 66 (8 in 66+), 11 finer (8/23).
