German Description: Seiden Souf-Keschan antik, Zentralpersien, 19.Jhd., reine Naturseide in Souf-Technik (Relief-Knüpfung). Der occerfarbene Grund dieses tuchfeinen Seiden-Soufs wird von Ranken mit verschiedensten Blatt, Kranz und Fecher-Palmetten belegt. Im oberen Bereich ein Vogel-Pärchen und kunstvoll gezeichnete Granatäpfel, welche zur hälfte aufgeschnitten sind und die Kernfrucht tragen. In Persien hat die Granatapfelfrucht eine bedeutende Symbolik und steht für die Fruchtbarkeit. Kartuschen Bordüre mit Wolkenband, Ranken und Vogel-Motiven begleitet von Reziproke Nebenborten.
