CHINA--FOREIGN BANKS. Chinese-American Bank of Commerce. 5 Dollars, 15.7.1920. P-S236b. S/M#C271-3. PMG Very Fine 20.
Shanghai. Scarce issued 5 Dollars from the second and more colourful series. Although the Shanghai branch is the more readily available issued note compared to the other two branches (Hankow and Tientsin), its total PMG population is still only nine, and is surpassed in grade by just two notes, one in 25 and one in 40. A minor rusty paper clip mark on the upper border and small rust spots on the reverse are all there is to report. Rare in this high grade and as an altered note. PMG Comments "Rust, Previously Mounted."
