Ltd. return to zero patented movement. The gilt 3/4 plate pendant wind and pin set movement is signed Samuel Hammond New York and is marked Patent. The center sweep seconds hand starts, stops, and returns to zero by a button at 12:00. The watch has a single sunk white porcelain enamel dial with black Roman numerals and is signed Sam. Hammond New York. The watch is in a London hallmarked 18K gold case with 1873 date letter. The watch has an engraved coat of arms on one side and the other has an equestrian themed monogram with the letters engraved in the form of a riding crop, horseshoe and a whip.
