* 5-page responsa from 1933 written and signed by the rabbi, regarding a mikvah whose water was brought by a copper pipe from the nearby well. The Gaon discusses at length various halachic aspects of this situation, such as if the copper pipe is considered a "kli" etc. [5] pages. 21x35 cm. Fold marks. Minimal stains. Fine condition.
* Halachic response written at the end of the rabbi's life, in the 1930s, regarding "yayin nesech." The Gaon quotes many proofs from the Talmud and poskim and discusses the words of the leading achroinm - the Chatam Sofer, Shvut Yaakov, Divrei Chaim and more. [1] letterhead. Text on both its sides. 21x34 cm. Fold marks. Fine condition.
Rabbi Alter Yechiel Nebenzahl [1858-1939] was a prominent Galician rabbi and author of Pri Etz and Minchat Yechiel. He was a disciple of the Admor, author of the Divrei Chaim and Harei Bisamim. He served in the rabbinate of Vishnitsa and the Maharsham of Berezany received semicha from him. In 1899, he became rabbi of Stanislav. He was very active in helping agunot after the First World War. Other than one grandson, his entire family was killed during the Holocaust.
