Pocket watch: vintage, exquisite rattrapante chronograph from around 1880, almost like new!: Approx. Ø 53 mm, approx. 139 g, extremely heavy and solid 14K gold case, no. 14361, extremely high-quality Anker chronometer with split-seconds chronograph, Charles Henri Meylan manufacturer's mark, fine adjustment, chronometer balance wheel, Geneva stripes, no. 38742, original enamel dial, Breguet steel hands, in working order, but needs cleaning, case in incredible condition, as good as new! Charles Henri Meylan was the son of Charles Napoléon Meylan and his wife Louise Bonard. He was born in Le Sentier on 21 April 1842. After elementary school, Meylan trained as a watchmaker and worked as a talented watchmaker at Nicole & Capt in London from 1864. In 1868, Meylan returned to his homeland and initially settled in Geneva. Around 1880, he founded the Ch. H. Meylan Watch Co. in Le Brassus, later renamed Ch. H. Meylan & Co. In 1894, Charles Henri Meylan was one of the founders of the watchmaking school in Le Sentier. He died on 13 October 1916 in Le Brassus.

Emaillezifferblatt, Breguet Stahlzeiger, gangbar, reinigungsbedürftig, unglaublicher Zustand, wie unbenutzt und neuwertig! Charles Henri Meylan wurde am 21. April 1842 als Sohn von Charles Napoléon Meylan und dessen Frau Louise Bonard in Le Sentier geboren. Nach der Grundschule wurde Meylan zum Uhrmacher ausgebildet und arbeitete als begabter Uhrmacher ab 1864 bei Nicole & Capt in London. 1868 kehrte Meylan in sein Heimatland zurück und ließ sich zunächst in Genf nieder. Um 1880 gründete er in Le Brassus die Ch. H. Meylan Watch Co. später Ch. H. Meylan & Co. .1894 gehörte Charles Henri Meylan zu den Gründern der Uhrmacherschule in Le Sentier. Er starb am 13. Oktober 1916 in Le Brassus.
