A wood okimono netsuke of rats. Second half 19th century
The large mother animal sits with paws placed on its tail while two young animals sit on the back looking into opposite directions and biting into eachothers tails. The eyes of grey and yellow horn respectively. Signed Ikkôsai in an oval reserve. Restoration to the right hind paw of the mother animal.

Auf dem Rücken der großen Ratte, die ihre Vorderpfoten über den rundgelegten Schwanz legt, sitzen zwei Jungtiere in gegenläufiger Richtung, die sich gegenseitig in den Schwanz beißen. Alle Augen aus grauem bzw. gelbem Horn. Rechte Hinterpfote des Muttertieres rest.
